I understand that an HOA needs to collect its fees, but I don't think RCSC does an adequate job working with its aging population. My parents have a home there and I discovered they had a past due balance after my dad passed away. When I reached out to settle the bill, I was told it had been sent to collections when it was just three months past due. This resulted in "legal fees" that doubled the bill, which my mother will now have to pay despite losing half of her income due to my father's death. The RCSC staff claimed they had been "calling and calling" and sending "lots of emails." According to the call history in my dad's phone, they called one time, which happened to be on the day he had a massive seizure that sent him to the hospital and ultimately killed him. I looked through my mom's emails and found one single email sent in July, when the bill was a month overdue. RCSC also claimed to have sent "multiple letters." While I can't swear that any were or were not received after the initial notice, we did in fact receive one final bill—but it arrived AFTER the account had already been sent to collections. These are RCSC courses are NOT public!!!!. My 8yr old son and I were a part of 16 people grouping on Fathers Day and was told he was not allowed on the course. Even though they took my money for both tee times without any restrictions stated on their websites bc they are "public" but they are liars and are restricted. According to Chris at Riverview, children under 13 are not permitted until 1. Greg at south says 8yrs old but only on executive courses. Club pro Chris states it's the responsibility of anyone under the age of 55 to be restricted from any course in the SCRC course system. All of these men are over 55 and are unable to settle on 1 set of rules. DO NOT GOLF THESE COURSES IF UNDER 55 IN THE SUMMER!!!!! The under 55 community keeps these sub-par courses alive in the summer. They don't deserve our money and show 0 appreciation that they still have jobs in the summer due to the under 55 community. Talk to you soon Lynam
